Starring Detective Diesel and Professional Driver PT, the first ProTraining Safety Series provides seven videos using the latest and greatest in educational animation technology, along with accompanying comprehensive workbooks and quizzes to measure comprehension and progress.

Drug & Alcohol Awareness (New!) Important facts and industry regulations about drug and alcohol use on the roadway are presented in an engaging but serious manner as Detective Diesel tries to answer questions on a TV game show titled, “Would You Risk Your Life?” As host and quizmaster, P.T. poses questions concerning topics such as: effects of alcohol on a driver’s reactions; the prevalence of illegal drugs and alcohol on the road; and the rights of employers to test drivers for possible drug and alcohol use, according to FMCSA 382.
Following & Stopping Distances (New!) Detective Diesel and P.T are off to the races! At a big championship stock car race, P.T. introduces Diesel to concepts used on the raceway and the roadway, such as space management, visual search, perception and reaction time and determining following and stopping distances.
Interpreting Vital Signs (New!) Detective Diesel joins P.T. on a cross country trip in a futuristic rig to discuss and interpret regulatory signs – signs on the highway vital to safety. The program’s interactive features challenge learners to identify and match sign colors and shapes, in addition to their meanings and messages. Valuable to both beginning drivers and road veterans, Interpreting Vital Signs emphasizes the importance of everyday road signs.

Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections
A vital part of every day safety, Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections teaches drivers the importance of truck inspections. With an emphasis on the seven point inspection, drivers are taught fundamental skills for maintaining the very basic mechanical safety of their rig.
 
Visual Search
On the road, good drivers know they should be constantly surveying their surroundings. Visual Search teaches drivers techniques for evaluating their position on the road and the position of the other vehicles around their truck.

Hazardous Driving Conditions
This program reviews the FMCSA Regulation 392.14 – Hazardous Conditions; Extreme Caution. The program teaches drivers how to manage hazardous driving situations like rain, ice and fatigue, as well as when the driver must make the decision to discontinue operating the vehicle.

Basic Intersection Control
Even everyday situations can prove hazardous to the professional driver. Basic Intersection Control teaches drivers to carefully navigate intersections. Drivers must know the limits of their machinery and the speeds needed to safely negotiate an intersection.
